We may disclose your personal data to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers, or subcontractors as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.
In addition, we may disclose your personal information:
a.    to respond to your requests for customer service;
b.    to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
c.    in connection with any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings;
d.    in order to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including but not limited to  enforcing our Terms of Use,  providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk); and

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personal Data except as stated above under paragraph 6.

9.     Do we transfer your data Internationally?

Personal data we collect are processed in a cloud environment provided by ……………………….. Therefore, it is highly likely that your data may be stored outside the EU/EEA. Our cloud provider, Microsoft, complies with international data protection laws regarding transfers of customer data across borders. Specifically, for EU/EEA customers:
a.    Microsoft business cloud services offer customers EU Standard Contractual Clauses that provide additional contractual guarantees around transfers of personal data for cloud services. 
b.    In addition to the Standard Contractual Clauses and other model contracts, Microsoft is certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the EU to the United States. Microsoft participation in the Privacy Shield applies to all personal data that is subject to the Microsoft Privacy Statement and is received from the EU, European Economic Area, and Switzerland. Microsoft also abides by Swiss data protection law regarding the processing of personal data from the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
 
10.    How long do we retain your personal data?

We retain your personal data for the duration of our contractual relationship. Personal information that we process shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for the performance of the contract and any directly derived services. 
We may also retain personal data: 
a.    to the extent that we are required to do so by law (for instance in order to comply with tax legislation);
b.    to comply with legal process, (any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings); and

iii.    To request that we erase your personal data to the extent that they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which we need to keep processing them, as we have explained above, or when we are no longer legally permitted to process them. Please be advised that, in such case we will retain only  non-personal data and information for statistical and technical reasons. Also, when you want to stop using our service, you have the option to either:
1.    PAUSE your account: In this case we retain all data in case you want to restart his subscription, OR
2.    DELETE your account: in this case we delete all personal data except your email. Your email is renamed to “xxxxxx@[name of business].com-deleted”  and is retained in a secure manner for new account -verification purposes.   
 Also, we shall retain some “Payment Information”, if such apply in your case, for as long we are obliged by the applied tax law or/and our contractual obligations with our service providers.
iv.    To request that we cancel or limit the processing of your personal data, which entails that in certain cases you can request us to temporally suspend the processing of the data or that we keep them longer than necessary. 
v.    Where the processing of your data is based on our legitimate interest, you will also have the right to object to the processing of your data.
vi.    Finally, we inform you that you have the right to file a claim before the responsible data protection authority, in particular, before the Greek Data Protection Authority ( www.dpa.gr).

You agree that except as specified herein, any disputes directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to the Terms or the Site (including the purchase of Company products via the Site) shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Greece. You hereby irrevocably consent to such venue and to the exclusive jurisdiction of any such court over any such dispute.

The Company reserves the right to modify or change the contents of the Site at any time without prior notification to the users.

Rental Policies

General Terms

DRIVING LICENSE: The rented car driver must hold a driving license, in physical form, issued at least one year before the rental date. The driver must hold either a driving license issued by a European Union Member State or else an international driving license (Except UK, Canada, Australia and USA.
AGE OF THE DRIVER: The minimum age limit is 23 years for all car categories.
GUARANTEE: The drivers must be holders of a credit card for reasons of guarantee. If they do not hold a credit card, in spcial circumstances only,  they may be able to rent only cars belonging to categories A, B or C after depositing a guarantee in debit card for the rental, in addition to the rental fee, which shall be refunded to them at the end of the rental (The order to the bank is given directly when the vehicle is returned, however banks might take up to 15 working days to proceed to this release). 
MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD: One day (24 hours). Each hour of delay upon completion of the 24-hour rental shall be charged with 1/6 of the daily rental fee.
PETROL: The lessee must deliver the car with the same petrol quantity as it accepted it.
KILOMETRES: For rentals of 3 or more days, mileage is unlimited. For rentals up to 2 days clients need to choose the option "unlimited" while booking online. Otherwise rentals of 2 days or less include 100km.
CHANGES: In certain special cases, the company is entitled to change the type of the car.
TRANSPORTATION BY SHIP: It is allowed, in the driver’s responsibility.
ACCEPTANCE FROM - DELIVERY TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS: Available option, by paying a special fee, upon request. 
SPECIAL OFFERS/DISCOUNTS: Special offers are only valid for the indicated dates/vehicles/locations. No more than one (1) special offer can be applied in a car rental rate.
PAY NOW: All “pay now” reservations are non refundable.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS: All traffic tickets and any other consequences shall burden the lessee.
SECOND DRIVER: Adding a second driver in the rental agreement entails surcharge of 5euro per day (VAT included) and such fee is charged for 10 days maximum (i.e. 50euro).
GPS: Available upon reservation at a rate of 10euro per day (VAT included) for rental periods shorter than 3 days and at a rate of 5euro per day for rental periods exceeding 3 days.
CHILDREN SAFETY SEATS: Available upon reservation at a rate of 5euro per day (VAT included) and such fee is charged for  maximum 50euro.
SNOW CHAINS: Available upon reservation at a rate of 5euro per day (VAT included) and such fee is charged for 10 days maximum (i.e. 50euro).
RATES: The rates posted on the website may change without notice. 
QUOTES: Quotes are valid only for maximum seven days. If the seven days have passed then customers should ask to be offered a new one that is valid.

• Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (C.D.W)Collision damage waiver insurance means that Kosmos rented vehicle is insured towards collision damages(material damages) also caused by the renter, but with an excess amount to pay.

• € 1.000,00 + VAT for (Category C1, D, D1, E, E1, H, H1)
• € 1.200,00 + VAT for (Category M1, H3, F, F1)
• € 1.600,00 + VAT for (Category H2, F1, V, V1, V2)

Not included in Rental Rates:

Super Collision Damage Waiver  (SCDW):

• € 10,00 for (Category A, B and C) extra per day
• € 12,00 for (Category C1, D, D1, E, E1, H, H1)) extra per day
• € 15,00 for (Category M1, H3, F, F1) extra per day
• € 18,00 for (Category H2, F1, V, V1, V2) extra per day

Excess Amounts after purchasing Super CDW (SCDW):

• € 100,00 + VAT for (Category A, B and C)  + VAT
• € 150,00 + VAT for (Category C1, D, D1, E, E1, H, H1) + VAT
• € 200,00 + VAT for (Category M1, H3, F, F1) + VAT
• € 250,00 + VAT for (Category H2, F1, V, V1, V2)  + VAT

Full Collision Damage Waiver (FCDW):

• € 15,00 for (Category A, B and C) extra per day
• € 17,00 for (Category C1, D, D1, E, E1, H, H1)) extra per day
• € 20,00 for (Category M1, H3, F, F1) extra per day
• € 25,00 for (Category H2, F1, V, V1, V2) extra per day

Excess Amounts after purchasing Full Collision Damage Waiver (FCDW):

• € 0 for (Category A, B and C)  + VAT
• € 0 for (Category C1, D, D1, E, E1, H, H1) + VAT
• € 0 for (Category M1, H3, F, F1) + VAT
• € 0 for (Category H2, F1, V, V1, V2)  + VAT

No insurance coverage shall apply to:

• Damage caused to the car's tires, windscreen, windows or bottom.
• Loss or theft of personal items kept in the car.
• Any damage caused to the car during transportation by ship or other means.
• Any incident taking place while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
• Accidents caused by a driver who has not been stated in the rental agreement.

Cancellation Policy:

When you make a PAY NOW reservation you will be charged with 100% of the amount of the reservation and it will be non refundable. When you make a PAY ON COUNTER reservation you will be asked to submit your credit card number through our secure server. The reservation will be confirmed through a reply e-mail. We will charge 15% of the total sum to your credit card and that amount will be kept as a deposit. 
In the event of cancelling 3 days or more prior to your arrival date, no cancellation penalties will be incurred and the deposit will be returned. 
For any cancellations made less than 3 days prior to your arrival date we will use the 15% as a penalty charge. 
The remaining payment amounts will be processed in Greece by Kosmos Rent a Car upon your arrival.

Fuel Policy

• The lessee must deliver the car with the same petrol quantity as it accepted it. Fuel surcharges will apply if it is returned with less fuel than received

• Kosmos Car Rental accepts the following rental deposits: VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Diners Club, Maestro

• Between Athens International Airport and Athens Centre (Kosmos Office): Charge: € 25,00

Optional Charges and Coverage

• Baby Seat / Booster: € 5 per day

Collision Damage Waiver

CDW IS INCLUDED
